The most obvious difference between the cinematic space in La Jetee compared to Julien Donkey Boy is the use of still images in La Jetee. There is a very linear, clear story being told with the images in La Jetee in combination with the narrative. Whereas in Donkey Boy, the narrative or "story" was sometimes hard to follow. The imagery used in Donkey Boy were very highly saturated, grainy, raw and intimate. The images used in La Jetee were also intimate but in a less alarming manner.
Truly, I find a harder time drawing similarities in these films than differences. They told such different stories in drastically different ways.
